Record my desktop -linux

http://recordmydesktop.sourceforge.net/about.php
Available in repos.

It's literal. So type: recordmydesktop into synaptic search or terminal
The gui is: gtk-recordmydesktop
That's for gnome.

Recording sound in linux is like finding a needle in a haystack.
When it comes to sound, I'd just like shit to just "work."
But, of course; that is not how linux works..

I got my sound-recordism working by the following informative screenshots;

That means setting the Mixer capture to OSS in system sound settings, and installing Gnome Alsa mixer to check the capture volume.
Fuck with it.
Ask questions in the forums.
Figure it out.
I hate fucking with sound, big time.

*Set the device to DEFAULT in recordmydesktop settings. (Regardless of what everyone else says, in their n00bish forum knowledge.)
Uncheck that JACK shit.
